Armatures
Armatures are made of pliable almaloy wire. The bases are heavy duty particle
board with plastic laminate finish. Backirons are sturdy steel. Adjustable
backirons may be positioned for standing, kneeling, or sitting.
Recommended amount of clay required:
12" to 13" Armature - 12 to 15 lbs.
15" to 18" Armature - 15 to 20 lbs.
20" to 24" Armature - 20 to 30 lbs.

Sculpting Stands
Tripod-style legs are made of 3/4" carbon square tubing with 1" metal strapping
added for additional strength. A carbon tubing center post has holes drilled
at 4" intervals with a metal T-pin insert to adjust the height. A locking knob
is added for extra security.
Our full-size stand adjusts
from 30" to 50"(without casters) and has a 3/4" x 15" x 15" laminate top. Stands
are available with adjustable leveler feet or locking casters. A 16" or 18"
round plastic utility tray can be added for tool storage. For those doing patinas,
a patina top made of flat expanded metal is also available either in addition
to or in place of the laminate top. We recommend that you do not exceed a center
load of 200 lbs.
We also has a 'couch potato' model which is
the ideal size for artists working in small areas of who prefer to sit while
they create. Made of the same material, it adjusts from 22" to a lockable 34"
to 37". It comes with a 3/4" 12" x 12" laminate top, a 16" or 18" diameter plastic
utility tray and locking casters. We recommend that you do not exceed a center
load of 100 lbs.
